Research overview

The absorption and fluorescence of functional dyes are strongly influenced by π-conjugated frameworks and electron-donating or electron-withdrawing substituents. We explore phosphinine-based dyes, azo-containing dyes, and extended conjugated chromophores with tailored optical responses.

Our studies examine molecular structure–property relationships across the visible and toward the near-infrared spectral region. We aim to expand the accessible dye architectures and explore their potential as functional optical materials.
